About Meika Hamisch, LMFT
Meika Hamisch, LMFT, has practiced psychotherapy for over 30 years and is a trainer and educator in the areas of compassionate communication skills, psychology, cross cultural perspectives in therapy and healing, mindfulness and self-compassion cultivation methods. Meika has intensive meditation retreat experience, where she has also served as the resident psychotherapist. She brings both direct experience and skill based knowledge to her teaching.
Meika is a certified teacher in Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT) through Stanford University’s School of Medicine, Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE). She is also a certified teacher in Cultivating Emotional Balance (CEB). She teaches CCT at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine and in her private practice on the Monterey Peninsula. She has been a California CE provider for BBS and BRN. Meika provides consultation and trains in compassionate care for local hospitals. She also provides groups, consultations and training in both mindfulness and CCT in Sacramento and Monterey.
